Join Our Team
SF New Deal (SFND), is a nonprofit with a mission to strengthen neighborhoods by making it easier for under-resourced small business owners to succeed.
Across diverse programs, we provide supportive services and financial opportunities for small businesses citywide and work to address both the symptoms and root causes of inequity by building pathways that connect local business owners, workers, community leaders, and neighbors, for the benefit of the entire city.
Our team is primarily remote and we spend a lot of time together on slack, zoom, and the phone. We meet up in person regularly and prefer if you live in or near San Francisco but depending on the role, it’s not a dealbreaker if you don’t.
If you’re a collaborative optimist committed to advancing equity and inspired by high impact, purpose-driven work, we’d love to have you join our team.
Perks & Benefits
We are committed to building an engaged and dynamic team of employees so that we can learn just as much from our peers as we do from day-to-day challenges. To that end, we offer professional development and growth opportunities to our staff, as well as additional benefits to support the well being of each member of the team. These perks and benefits include:
Monthly Health & Wellness Stipend, Annual Work from Home Stipend, Annual Professional Development Stipend, Matching 401(k), Kaiser Platinum Plan Health Benefits, Vision & Dental Benefits, Paid Vacation Days, Paid Holidays, Paid Sick Time, Eligibility for Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program
Pay & Advancement
SF New Deal’s FTE salary ranges are based on competitive market rates, benchmarked against other Bay Area nonprofits of similar size. An applicant’s past experience and the requirements of the role are considered when determining where within a pay range an employee’s salary is set.
We seek to make our base pay fair and will re-evaluate the pay rate if/when our team members' job responsibilities and expectations change. Raises are not tied directly to performance reviews though performance is a factor in determining when a raise or bonus is granted.
