Downtown ENRG to Revitalize SF Nightlife
Downtown Entertainment & Nightlife Revitalization Grants (ENRG) are designed to support arts, culture, and entertainment activities during evenings and weekends.
Downtown ENRG - pronounced ‘energy’- is designed to breathe new life into downtown San Francisco by supporting arts, culture, and entertainment activities that attract visitors and locals to the city center during evenings and weekends.
Activities throughout downtown are eligible, with a special focus on:
Mid-Market | Civic Center | Tenderloin | SoMa | Financial District | Union Square | Yerba Buena | The East Cut

Who should apply?
Downtown ENRG is an open call for proposals, though priority will be given to applicants with experience operating and overseeing events in Downtown.
All proposals should include a live performance component.
Additional priority will be given to proposals collaborating with multiple partners and concepts engaging diverse communities.
Proposed programming should occur in 2024.
What do grant funds cover?
Grantees can receive awards up to $50,000 and can use their grant funding for program expenses including:
permitting costs
planning expenses
marketing material and design
event coordination
food and beverage
artists stipends
equipment
on-site staff
In addition to financial support, grantees will also receive technical assistance from SF New Deal and OEWD to navigate permitting, compliance, and operations for their events.
2024 Downtown Entertainment & Nightlife Revitalization Grants (ENRG)
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis while funds last, priority will be given to those submitted by June 15, 2024.
