2023 Impact Report: The Road to Vibrant is here!

Beyond supporting individual business owners with millions of dollars of grant funding and thousands of hours of technical assistance, our work in 2023 focused on improving the operating environment small businesses need to succeed.

When confronted with a pervasive doom loop narrative, we forged a new road ahead. 

With support from our community and in partnership with the City of San Francisco, we invested in restoring vibrancy and connection in neighborhoods citywide, with a new focus on Downtown San Francisco. We launched innovative programs like Vacant to Vibrant to spark new life in vacant storefronts, creating opportunities for small businesses to grow and inspiring conversation around their key role in the city’s economic and cultural revitalization.

Whether bringing neighborhood corridors to life with markets, art, and music or creating welcoming hubs for community gatherings downtown, we have seen firsthand how strong, successful businesses can transform neighborhoods - filling them with activity, culture, and opportunity.

Each success is a testament to what’s possible when we work together to reimagine and reenergize San Francisco.

Real transformation takes time, and in many ways, the road is just beginning.

Together, we are laying a foundation that will be felt for generations to come.
